The National Indigenous Music Awards were broadcast live nationally by TEABBA Radio. There were some great performances by B2M, Blekbala Mujik, Gurrumul and East Journey. The IRCA Board is pleased to announce they are now accepting applications for Associate Membership following ORIC's approval of changes to the IRCA rule book. IRCA now has two levels of membership. Individual Membership (Ordinary Member) applications are open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander media practicioners (18 years and older) working in remote media and communications. IRCA held meetings this week with Board Members and RIMO Managers and Staff in Alice Springs. Representatives of all eight Remote Indigenous Media Organisations were in attendance (QRAM, TSIMA, PAW Media, PY Media, NG Media, TEABBA and PAKAM).
