What's been happening in remote Indigenous radio?

The National Indigenous Music Awards were broadcast live nationally by TEABBA Radio. There were some great performances by B2M, Blekbala Mujik, Gurrumul and East Journey. You can listen to the full five and half hour broadcast here.

PAW Radio broadcasted during Yuendumu Sports Weekend. Congratulations to Noel Heenan on some great football commentary! There have also been regular shows broadcasting from Yuelamu, Lajamanu, Kintore and Yuendumu.

Jen Enosa interviewed Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Indigenous Affairs Minister Nigel Scullion and Attorney General George Brandis on Radio 4MW during the federal government's recent trip to the Torres Strait.

Black Star Radio also interviewed the Prime Minister during his visit to the Northern Peninsula Area.

While keeping busy on video and animation projects, the PAKAM Radio Crew also visited Beagle Bay for a live broadcast from the Keep Culture Festival.

Radio 5NPY have a new weekly talkback show called 'Raputji Show' that explores the issue of waste management on the APY Lands.

CAAMA RIBS Broadcasters from Titjikala, Ltyentye Apurte and Ntaria attended interview training to help strengthen their local and national programs.
