Ngaanyatjarra Media (www.ngmedia.org.au) is looking to hire a well-rounded IT person responsible for day-to-day management of IT systems in the remote Outback of Australia.
Position would be responsible for:
- Maintenance of office IT systems (Mac + Windows)
- Maintenance of remote media centres (~ 6 PCs in 12 very remote communities)
- General day to day trouble shooting and office support
- Continued development of interesting IT projects ($100K+ budgets)
- Procurement and deployment of IT equipment to remote communities
- Reporting on current projects
This job would ideally suit someone:
- Who is very independent who likes to troubleshoot all day
- With an interest in film, photography or music
- Outgoing and adventurous
- Interested in other cultures
Remuneration details:
- Starting @ ~AU$60,000 / year + 12.5% superannuation + salary packaging perks + $4133 remote allowance + $1275 annual payment towards travel expenses. (~$72k total)
- Includes 4+ weeks additional leave per year and free accommodation and utilities. (Ideal if you'd like to save some money as your only substantial costs are food.)
Must:
- Be able to work legally in Australia
- Be able to work in a dry zone (No alcohol)
- Have full drivers license
- Be physically fit
- High level English proficiency
- Get your hands dirty. This is a remote outback job not an office job (though you will spend a lot of time in the office)
Bonus points:
- Any previous media, radio or music skills / experience
- Able to start quickly
Training: Employee will be required to undergo a 4WD driving and vehicle recovery course.
3 month probationary period. Looking for someone to start ASAP.
