Ngaanyatjarra Media (www.ngmedia.org.au) is looking to hire a well-rounded IT person responsible for day-to-day management of IT systems in the remote Outback of Australia.

Position would be responsible for:

  • Maintenance of office IT systems (Mac + Windows)
  • Maintenance of remote media centres (~ 6 PCs in 12 very remote communities)
  • General day to day trouble shooting and office support
  • Continued development of interesting IT projects ($100K+ budgets)
  • Procurement and deployment of IT equipment to remote communities
  • Reporting on current projects

This job would ideally suit someone:

  • Who is very independent who likes to troubleshoot all day
  • With an interest in film, photography or music
  • Outgoing and adventurous
  • Interested in other cultures

Remuneration details:

  • Starting @ ~AU$60,000 / year + 12.5% superannuation + salary packaging perks + $4133 remote allowance + $1275 annual payment towards travel expenses. (~$72k total)
  • Includes 4+ weeks additional leave per year and free accommodation and utilities. (Ideal if you'd like to save some money as your only substantial costs are food.)

Must:

  • Be able to work legally in Australia
  • Be able to work in a dry zone (No alcohol)
  • Have full drivers license
  • Be physically fit
  • High level English proficiency
  • Get your hands dirty. This is a remote outback job not an office job (though you will spend a lot of time in the office)

Bonus points:

  • Any previous media, radio or music skills / experience
  • Able to start quickly

Training: Employee will be required to undergo a 4WD driving and vehicle recovery course.

3 month probationary period. Looking for someone to start ASAP.
