From the 2016 Remote Indigenous Communications and Media Audience Survey
Remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander radio really knows its audiences. Remote radio has high acceptance across all demographic groups in remote communities. The regular listener demographic of RIMO Radio (80% of the survey population) aligns closely with the representation of age, gender and employment groups in remote communities. Remote radio reaches a wide audience and clearly provides content with good engagement across all groups. Highly experienced and skilled broadcasters and culturally appropriate content are keys to this success. For more information on the survey link to the Audience Survey project page.
