Indigenous Remote Communications Association (IRCA) are saddened to hear of the passing of our Board member Annette Victor. Annette was on the IRCA Board dependably from 2007 –2011 holding the position of Treasurer and from 2013 up until her untimely passing.
She also served many years as Board member for PAKAM, ICTV, and AICA.
At the National Remote Indigenous Media Festivals Annette received numerous awards over the years:-

She worked as RIBS operator in Beagle Bay and Ardyaloon for over 15 years, broadcasting her “Cadje-Up” show on the PAKAM Network 9 -10am daily.
She also produced numerous community video programmes for ICTV over the years, most recently “First School at Middle Beach”.
She was a passionate advocate for the role media can play in improving the lives of Indigenous Australians in remote communities.
Annette Victor will be sadly missed by all her family in the Indigenous Remote Media Sector.
A service is being held on 20th February at Beagle Bay Church with an hour long tribute commencing at 2:20 pm.
