98.9 Digital is a simulcast of the 98.9FM analogue service. It is the first Indigenous radio station in a capital city and offers a great blend of country and Indigenous music. It first went to air on April 6, 1993. 98.9FM is part of BIMA, Brisbane Indigenous Media Association; a First Nations not-for-profit organization to providing appropriate media services promoting the cultural and economic aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in south-east Queensland. Other services offered by BIMA include BIMA Vision, Triple A Training & BIMA Projects.
