inDigiMOB are looking to fill three Indigenous identified (part-time or full-time) positions. Opportunity 1: INDIGIMOB DIGITAL MENTOR – Digital Skills Training

Job Description

The inDigiMOB Digital Mentor is a key role in the implementation of the inDigiMOB program. The program aims to foster community ICT capacity building (digital skills, knowledge and awareness) through a network of remote Indigenous trainers known as inDigiMOB Digital Mentors, as well as supporting a network of community organisations who host or otherwise participating in the program. 

 

The primary work of the inDigiMOB Digital Mentor (Digital Skills Training) involves: 
    •    Working with the other inDigiMOB staff and partners to create content (video, audio, text and images) for inDigiMOB App resources. 

    •    Working with the other inDigiMOB staff and external contractors to deliver digital skills workshops in town camps and remote NT communities.

    •    Helping to support the development of the community-based Digital Mentor’s skills and confidence as needed.

    •    Working with the other inDigiMOB staff and remote Indigenous community-based inDigiMOB partners to identify further digital literacy skills or information that communities need.

    •    Working with the inDigiMOB team and inDigiMOB partners to improve the inDigiMOB App and, more broadly, improve the program activities to foster digital inclusion and digital literacy in town camps and remote NT communities.


 

Duties under this contract include:
    1.    Create content (video, audio, text and images) for inDigiMOB training materials and digital resources (in collaboration with other project staff and Digital Mentors).

    2.    Assist participants and partner organisation Digital Mentors during digital activity workshops facilitated by other inDigiMOB staff or external contractors.

    3.    Work with other inDigiMOB staff and remote Indigenous community-based inDigiMOB partners to identify further digital literacy skills or information that communities need.

    4.    Assist with reporting on inDigiMOB program activities and outcomes.

    5.    Liaise closely with other inDigiMOB staff, IRCA staff and contractors, and program delivery affiliates to ensure a coordinated and collaborative approach.



 

Other occasional duties under this contract may include:
    1.    Publish (record, review, edit and upload) digital training and awareness raising resources for the inDigiMOB App (typically short videos, audio clips).

    2.    Assist with preparation and delivery of workshop sessions as training and ongoing professional development for inDigiMOB partner Digital Mentors.

    3.    Arrange for other external trainers to deliver workshop activities in remote NT communities.

    4.    Work with inDigiMOB Project Manager and project team in data collection and project evaluation as needed. 


    5.    Be responsible for the appropriate use and safe maintenance of project facilities and equipment. 


    6.    Be responsible for the appropriate use and safe maintenance of vehicles. 

    7.    Any other lawful and reasonable duties as directed by IRCA staff and contractors.

Job Description

The inDigiMOB Project Officer is a key role in the implementation of the inDigiMOB program. The program aims to foster community ICT capacity building (digital skills, knowledge and awareness) through a network of remote Indigenous trainers known as inDigiMOB Digital Mentors, as well as supporting a network of community organisations who host or otherwise participating in the program. 

 

The primary work of the inDigiMOB Project Officer (Digital Skills Training App) involves: 

  • Creating digital training and awareness raising resources for the inDigiMOB App (typically short videos, audio clips).
  • Working with the program’s Digital Mentors to create content (video, audio, text and images) for the App resources.
  • Helping to support the development of the community based Digital Mentor’s skills and confidence as needed.
  • Working with the other inDigiMOB staff and remote Indigenous community-based inDigiMOB partners to identify further digital literacy skills or information that communities need.
  • Managing and monitoring partnerships with community and other organisations to facilitate the delivery of the inDigiMOB project.
  • Liaising with inDigiMOB team and external IT contractors to resolve App technical issues and refine/improve the user experience.

 

Duties under this contract include:
