Jacinta Barbour

Jacinta is an Eastern Arrernte and Warumungu descendent from Central Australia. Alkupitja is her grandmother’s country which is a family outstation north of Alice Springs. Born in Darwin, Jacinta lived in multiple remote communities in the top end and has a Bachelor of International Development specialising in Indigenous Knowledge. In 2012, she was employed with First Nations Media Australia in the field of administration whilst undertaking a Certificate in Creative Industries and Marketing. Jacinta has since undertaken an Indigenous cadetship with the Department Treasury and Finance and worked in various roles in policy, governance and planning at MacDonnell Regional Council.
